Covid-19: Staying Safe in Class
Following easing of lockdown, all previous Covid safety measures remain in place for the time being.
Your safety is my priority, and I'll continue to following all the latest guidance from the Government, Sport England and British Wheel of Yoga to ensure that you're provided with a safe space to practice yoga. I will also keep in place many of the measures that were required previously e.g. distancing.
Please read the guidance below, and if you have any questions do get in touch.
Outdoor Classes
Outdoor classes are being held in Great Gidding, in my garden or in the Rec Field.
Safety Measures - Outdoor Classes...
Please stay at home if you have any symptoms of COVID-19
Maximum people per class: 5 for garden yoga or 12 in the Rec Field.
Please maintain 2m social distancing at all times.
Hand sanitiser is provided.
Please bring your own mat and props to avoid sharing equipment.
There are no toilet facilities at the Rec Field.
Payment by bank transfer is preferred.
As places are limited, payment in advance is required to secure your place.
NHS Test & Trace...
Your contact information will be passed to NHS Test & Trace if requested by them. No information will be provided to NHS Test & Trace other than contact phone number and attendance date/time.
You may request to opt out. See NHS Test & Trace Guidance here
Cancellations...
Refunds or class credits are given if you provide at least 48 hours notice (or if your space can be filled), if you cancel due to symptoms of Covid-19 or if the class is cancelled due to weather conditions.
Indoor Classes
Safety Measures - Indoor Classes...
Please stay at home if you have any symptoms of COVID-19
Maximum people per class: 9 at Great Gidding, 12 at Sawtry (Beginners' Courses will often be fewer)
2m social distancing at all times.
As there will be 2m distancing, you aren't required to wear a mask unless you wish to do so.
I will be teaching from the stage, so that I can get a clear view of everyone without the need to move around the room.
There will be no breathing exercises which require us to breathe out with 'force' or through an open mouth e.g. sighing the breath through an open mouth, 'woodchopper' breath etc.
Please bring your own mat and props, as we're unable to share equipment. (Ask me about ordering kit at wholesale prices).
Please arrive in your kit - avoid using the toilets to change.
Please use the sanitiser provided at entry/exit points.
Windows will remain open before and during class to ensure ventilation.
Internal doors will remain open where possible to minimise contact. If door handles are used these will be sanitised with the spray provided in the hall.
The venue will be cleaned between classes (frequently touched surfaces sanitised).
You may wish to wipe your mat with sanitiser after class or when you get home. Sanitiser and paper towels are available for you to do this.
Payment by bank transfer is preferred, to avoid handling of cash. (If you are only able to pay by cash please bring the exact money as I won't have the cash tin with me).
As places are limited, payment in advance is required to secure your place.
A copy of the full Covid-19 risk assessment is available to students upon request.
NHS Test & Trace...
You will be invited to scan the Test & Trace QR code for the Village Hall upon arrival. I also keep registers of attendance, so if you are unable to use the QR code your contact information will be passed to NHS Test & Trace if requested by them. No information will be provided to NHS Test & Trace other than contact phone number and attendance date/time.
