Do you want to try yoga but feel nervous about joining a class?
Think you're not bendy enough to do yoga?
Maybe you've tried online yoga and now want to try it in a real class?
Then this is the perfect course for you...
Join a small group of fellow newbies to learn the basics of yoga, nurture your own wellbeing and build confidence in your body. You'll be supported and encouraged by Janice, a highly trained teacher but one who remembers exactly how it feels to be a nervous newbie!
Over 4 weeks you'll learn:
- A range of basic yoga postures, and how to do yoga safely
- How to adapt the postures to your wonderfully unique body
- Breathing and mindfulness practices to help you feel calm and balanced
- Relaxation techniques to restore your energy levels
Week 1
Grounding
Focussing on alignment and steady foundations to encourage good posture, this class will help you to feel grounded and balanced
in body & mind
Week 2
Calming
Releasing tension from the body, incorporating forward bends (top tip: you don't need to be able to touch your toes!)
An oasis of calm in the busyness of your day
Week 3
Energising
Gentle backbends to counteract the habitual slump that we develop from our everyday activities. This class brings a joyful lift into your day
Week 4
Refreshing
A series of twists and side bends to help you feel light & spacious.
This class will leave you feeling refreshed
and supple
At the end of the 4 weeks you'll have experienced some of the wonderful benefits of yoga, and feel confident to join our regular, mixed-level classes.
Yay - you've done it!
It's good to acknowledge our successes! So, when you've completed all 4 classes you'll receive a free class in our regular group (subject to availability) and a month's free access to our Online Studio.
