Do you love Yoga and want to enrich your practise?
Have your yoga classes sparked your curiosity, and you want to learn more about Yoga?
Perhaps yoga has nurtured you, and in future you'd like to share that with others through teaching?
In this British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course you’ll come together with a group of like-minded people to explore yoga in greater depth than is possible in your usual weekly classes.
By the end of the course you’ll have expanded your knowledge on a wide range of topics including:
-
Asana (yoga postures) and basic anatomy
-
Breathing practices
-
Yoga philosophy, and how it applies to your life on and off the yoga mat
-
The subtle energy body, including the chakras
-
The history and paths of yoga
-
Sanskrit - basic terms and posture names
-
Relaxation & meditation techniques
-
Mantra & Mudra
-
How to develop and sustain your own yoga practise
The course is a journey of self-growth and personal development, giving you tools and techniques to apply to your everyday life. It also provides you with a strong foundation and smooth progression towards the Diploma course if you wish to later train as a yoga teacher (although this is not a pre-requisite for the BWY Teacher Training).
"For me, the course went beyond the asanas (postures) and took me to a place where yoga both physically and emotionally supports me in every aspect of my life. As someone who gets anxious within groups of new people Janice created an environment where everyone felt comfortable in expressing themselves and sharing life experience, and her wealth of knowledge and how she teaches all things yoga will inspire you to want to learn more. Embrace and enjoy!" Di, 2022
